Dry & Wet Riser Systems
We offer complete design, installation, and maintenance of both dry and wet riser systems—essential components for high-rise fire safety compliance.

Dry Risers
Dry risers are typically installed in buildings over 18 metres tall. These systems remain empty under normal conditions and are charged with water by the fire brigade during an emergency through an external inlet located at street level.
Our dry riser systems provide vital water access for emergency services, enabling quick and effective fire suppression on upper floors.
What Is a Dry Riser?
A dry riser is a system of vertical and horizontal pipework, allowing firefighters to pump water to multiple levels of a building.
• An external dry riser inlet is typically recessed into the building’s façade and secured with a wired glass or lockable metal box.
• Firefighters connect hoses to internal outlet valves on each floor, ensuring rapid response in emergencies.
• Dry risers are generally required in buildings with floors over 18 metres above ground or where there is more than 50 metres travel distance from fire service access points.
We provide expert design, installation, testing, and maintenance of dry riser systems.

Wet Risers
Wet risers are installed in buildings over 50 metres tall and remain permanently filled with pressurised water. This allows immediate access for firefighting teams via internal outlet valves located on each floor.
What Is a Wet Riser?
A wet riser is a continuously charged water pipe system, supplied by a mains pump, a storage tank with pump, or a direct mains pressure connection.
-
Typically used in buildings exceeding 50 metres in height
-
No external pipework or inlet is visible
-
Internal landing valves are marked “Wet Riser Outlet” and are often enclosed in metal or glass-fronted boxes for protection
We offer turnkey solutions for wet riser systems, including full system design, professional installation, and long-term service support.
