Our track record includes labour support for the successful retrofit of 87 tower blocks in Birmingham and over 30 high-rise buildings in London, demonstrating our capacity to manage complex, large-scale projects with confidence and efficiency.

 

Retrofit Installations

 

In retrofit installations where residents remain in place, concerns about mess and disruption are common. To mitigate this, we typically complete the installation in a single flat within one working day. An additional day is allocated to complete boxing-in where pipes and sprinkler heads are integrated into the walls

 

We take great care to protect all working areas, covering furniture and flooring, and ensuring a thorough clean-up after every installation. All work is conducted during standard working hours, keeping disturbance to a minimum.

 

In live retrofit installations, we usually avoid fitting sprinklers into ceilings. Instead, we use sidewall sprinklers, which allow a single pipe to feed two rooms back-to-back. This means that only one room requires visible pipework and boxing-in.

Concealed Sprinklers

Where a ceiling void is available and the client prefers it, we can also install concealed sprinklers by cutting into the ceilings. Our team of decorators then fills, sands, and paints the area to deliver a clean, bespoke finish.
